Mrs. Elisa has been the carer of Paço de Sousa Monastery roughly since 2010. In addition to opening the church door to visitors, she checks the Blessed Sacrament lamp every day, is responsible for cleaning the monastery, is a reader and sings in the choir.
It is a very special monument for her, of which she keeps fond memories, particularly of religious festivities. She says that visitors love to appreciate the tomb of Egas Moniz and the beauty of the various altars.
