Painter Acácio Lino de Magalhães was born in 1878, in Casa da Pedreira, Travanca, and died in 1956. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Porto, where he would later teach Historic Drawing. Always involved in academic teaching, he developed a substantial part of his work, except for figures and rustic scenes, in the areas of painting and history.
