The village of Cabroelo, in the parish of Capela, is integrated in the natural environment and privileged landscape of the Boneca Mountain and the Rio Mau valley. It is a small rural village with granitic buildings, whose recovery process is based on its heritage. At the top of the village we find the chapel of Saint Matthew, the people's temple, which was rebuilt in 1872 and features a curious Baroque gilded woodwork altar.
