The village of Cabroelo, in the parish of Capela, Penafiel, is nestled within the stunning natural surroundings and landscape of the Serra da Boneca and the Mau River valley. It is a small rural settlement, with granite buildings, which has been designated a ‘Village of Portugal’. The chapel of Saint Matthew, rebuilt in 1872, the Linen Museum and the preserved mills are just some of the must-see attractions.
