Cavalete do Fojo, Folgoso, Pedorido, Castelo de Paiva
A 7.7 km circular walking route of moderate to high difficulty, starting at Cavalete do Fojo, which can be completed in around 3½ hours.
Along the way, a vast set of tables and interpretative panels will transport you back to the golden era of the former mining complex of Pejão.
Dedicated to coal extraction, this complex was the main source of economic return for the town of Castelo de Paiva for almost a century.
