Located on the southern slope of the Montedeiras mountain range, above the River Douro, this 12-kilometre route features traditional rural areas, forest clusters and agricultural fields, criss-crossed by crystal-clear streams. In the riverside area, you will come across the Dam and the Manor-House of Carrapatelo (Casa de Carrapatelo), the site of the most notorious robbery carried out by Zé do Telhado, a remarkable figure from the 19th century in the north of Portugal.
