Built in the 19th century by General Francisco Lobo de Ávila, a renowned figure of the 1820 Liberal Revolution, The Casa de Chavães was turned into accommodation and sports facilities. There are still some existing indoor spaces from the time, like the hall, the living room, the conference room and the Ethnographic Museum, located in the old wine cellar.
