Classified as a Monument of Public Interest, the church of Louredo was built in the 18th century, replacing a church from an earlier period that had been built at another location, according to the writing on the main altarpiece, from 1715, when the chancel had not yet been completed.
The extravagant decoration and the quality of the altarpiece woodwork, in line with the so-called National Style Baroque, are the main attraction of this church.
The Padre Amadeu Soares da Silva Museum was inaugurated on 15 November 2019, in an annex building, bringing together the historical collection of the parish of Louredo in three rooms: the Blessed Sacrament Brotherhood Room, the Sacristy Room, and the Passion Room. Among the pieces on display, we highlight the "Holy Shroud", a representation of Christ in a linen cloth, typical of the 17th and 18th centuries.
