The equestrian centre is part of the Quinta da Granja, which allows taking advantage of suitable infrastructures for equestrian sports. It features 27 individual boxes for horses, three riding rings, one indoor ring with a sand floor and two outdoor rings. The most frequent activities are riding lessons, horse jumping, the training and thinning of obstacle jumping and racing horses and it is possible to organize horse riding activities for tourists. Several equestrian events take place in these facilities, such as the national horse jumping and gallop racing championship.
