The Hill Fort of Corôas is a fortified settlement whose occupation can be traced back to the Bronze Age; it was built on a hill overlooking the right bank of the river Bestança. The archaeological site covers a significant 6 ha area??. A few medieval remains, rock paintings, a ceramic oven and two caves were found there. Within the walls we can still find houses and areas associated with everyday life activities, as well as the simple rectangular infrastructures that worked as shelters in stormy days.
