The Municipal Library dates back to 1983, while the Library-Museum of Lousada was inaugurated in the following year. In 1989, the museum centre is extinguished and the City Council becomes responsible for its documentary archive. On 23 October 2020, the Lousada Press Centre was inaugurated. It features a valuable collection from the 19th and 20th centuries. It depicts the organisational system of typography (casting, composition, printing and binding) and also exhibits a few collection pieces related to engraving.
