Integrated in the Public Reading Network since 1995, the Municipal Library of Penafiel is actually older, since there are documents from 1863 that already mention its existence. It provides its users with numerous open spaces: a general free access reading room, a room for children and teenagers with a games library, an artistic expression room, an audiovisual section and an auditorium.
