Located in the vicinity of the Monastery of Cárquere, the Carvalhal Park is quite an enjoyable site, with picnic (and rest) areas equipped with tables, benches and a bathroom. This is where thousands of people converge during the pilgrimage to Santa Maria de Cárquere, on the fourth Sunday in May.
