The Valley Route is a linear path (18.8 km) with two entrances; you can start in Nogueira Square, in the village of Vila de Muros, or in Montemuro Gated, near the chapel of the Gates. It runs across one of the most beautiful valleys in Portugal and along one of the cleanest rivers in Europe - the river Bestança. This route takes us through places of high scenic, cultural and architectural interest such as: the Bestança meadow; the Tendais creek; the river Bestança; the Soutelo bridge; the community threshing floor of Bustelo; the Montemuro mountains; the chapel and wall of Montemuro Gates.
