The Avessadas Convent, also known as the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague, belongs to the Discalced Carmelite Order and can be visited for pilgrimage or relaxation.

As well as agricultural products and fruit, the convent's farm produces a good quantity of grapes, the raw material for the famous Convento de Avessadas wines.
