You can't miss the new edition of the Gastronomic Weekends, which will take place until May 26, 2019. Indulge in the best flavours of Porto and Northern Portugal!

The 11th edition of the Gastronomic Weekends, promoted by the Regional Tourism Authority of Porto and Northern Portugal, promises, once again, a celebration of the senses, offering a wide range of delicious regional snacks and dishes, accommodation units and cultural activities.

In the participating restaurants (see attached guide) you will be offered a welcome glass of wine (or a dessert) and accommodation units will offer a 10% discount on Friday and Saturday nights.

The 12 municipalities covered by the Route of the Romanesque will also participate in this initiative, highlighting some of the best delicacies in this territory, according to the following calendar:

7 to 9 December | Baião
Egg pasty with smoked sausage, Fava bean rice with roast chicken and Crème brulée

14 to 16 December | Paços de Ferreira
Capon a la Freamunde, "Rochas da Citânia" and "Brisas do Pilar"

11 to 13 January | Amarante
Smoked sausages, Roast (mountain) lamb and Conventual sweets

18 to 20 January | Marco de Canaveses
"Verde"/"Bazulaque", Roast lamb with oven-baked rice and "Fatias do Freixo"

22 to 24 February | Penafiel
"Pataniscas", Lamprey rice, "Bolinhos de Amor" and "Tortas de S. Martinho"

15 to 17 March | Celorico de Basto
"Pataniscas", Oven-roast lamb and Sponge cake

22 to 24 March | Lousada
"Cozido à portuguesa" and Crème brulée

29 to 31 March | Castelo de Paiva
Traditional smoked sausages, lamprey rice and "Rabanadas à moda de Paiva"

5 to 7 April | Paredes
Lupins, Wood-fired lamb with oven-baked rice and Sweet "sopa seca"

12 to 14 April | Felgueiras
Smoked ham with corn bread, Oven-roast lamb and Margaride sponge cake

26 to 28 April | Cinfães
Traditional smoked sausages, Oven-roast veal, Butter cakes ("matulos") and Cinfães sponge cake

Wood-fired lamb and "Cavacas" of Resende
