On World Children's Day, June 1, at 4pm, the Interpretation Centre of the Romanesque in Lousada will host the presentation of the children's book "Bussaco, a mata mágica" [Bussaco, the magic forest].

The text is by Virgínia Soares Pereira and the illustrations by Lua Lins, in an edition by Livraria Atlântico.

The narrative portrays the fauna and flora of the Bussaco National Forest (Luso, Mealhada), in order to give our children a deeper understanding of our national heritage, as well as raising environmental awareness and early concern for mental health.

Its main mission, through storytelling, is to raise awareness of the need to be attentive to children, to their individuality and specificities, and to convey that with attention, accompaniment and love, everything improves. Our mental health is important and we can all make a difference.
