Singing with Alice and Sebastião is a musical and literary project aimed at school-age and pre-school children, conceived by singer Sara Meireles as a tribute to her grandparents.

In a symbiosis of words and sounds, it explores musical diversity, presenting a contrasting sound palette that results in unique experiences in the world of children's music repertoire in Portugal.

The arrangement of each of the 12 themes was selected to introduce children to different musical styles (World Music, Jazz, Rock, Electronic, Traditional Portuguese, Classical, Vocal and Dixieland).

Sara Meireles, on vocals, and Tiago Ferreira, on piano, will be the protagonists of the concert cycle Singing with Alice and Sebastião, with four performances scheduled on the Route of the Romanesque:

– 21 September, Sunday, 5 pm, Interpretation Centre of the Romanesque, Lousada;

– 19 October, Sunday, 4 pm, Church of Saint Mary of Gondar, Amarante;

– 16 November, Sunday, 4 pm, Monastery of Saint Andrew of Ancede, Baião;

– 06 December, Saturday, 9.30 pm, Interpretation Centre of Romanesque Sculpture, Abragão, Penafiel.

Admission is free, subject to space availability.
