Route of the Romanesque at ITB Berlin 2019

06-03-2019

The Route of the Romanesque continues to focus on the internationalisation of its tourist product, being once again present in the ITB Berlin fair, which takes place in the German capital from March 6 to 10.

ITB Berlin, which is celebrating its 53rd anniversary this year, is one of the main international tourist events and a meeting point for the most important tour operators in the world.

Its leading position is confirmed by figures. In addition to 5,000 journalists and 400 bloggers, more than 160,000 visitors, 10,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries (from 6 continents) and 1,000 operators are expected to visit the 26 exhibition halls at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, with an area of 160 thousand square meters.

The participation of the Route of the Romanesque in ITB Berlin 2019 is, therefore, a means of projecting its tourist product in the foreign market, aiming at its integration into various commercial circuits.

In this context, more than a publicity action, the participation in ITB Berlin will focus on the marketing of tourist programs prepared by the Route of the Romanesque in partnership with travel agencies and tour operators, tourist entertainment companies and accommodation units.

As in the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR), the presence of the Route of the Romanesque will be marked by close cooperation with Turismo de Portugal, through the Association of Tourism of Porto, an entity with which it is associated, being integrated into its large exhibition space.

The participation of the Route of the Romanesque in ITB Berlin 2019 is part of the project "Tourist Enhancement and Development of the Route of the Romanesque", co-financed by Turismo de Portugal, I.P., through the Valorizar Program - Support Line for Tourist Development in Inland Portugal.
