Mrs. Ana was the carer of the Chapel of Vale from a very young age. After a break, she returned to her position around the year 2015. She lives very close to the Chapel, which she regards as a special monument: 'I really enjoy working there, decorating the altars of Our Lord of the Steps and Our Lady of Pain.'
She shares a legend that her godparents told her 'Our Lady appeared here in the middle of the hill, one day when there was a fire...'
She says that tourists like to visit the Chapel and what they appreciate the most are the images of the saints and the fresco painting in the chancel.
