Built in 1926-27 and spanning 55 metres over the River Tâmega, the Wire Bridge («Ponte de Arame») connects the municipalities of Celorico de Basto and Amarante, through the villages of Lourido (Arnoia) and Rebordelo.

After extensive renovation work, the (new) Wire Bridge was inaugurated on 1 March 2025, reinforcing its status as a landmark in this region. Nearby is the Tâmega Eco-track.
