On the morning of Thursday 10 September, the Route of the Romanesque hosted a working meeting of the seven co-managing bodies of the Northern Routes.
The programme included a visit in Felgueiras to the conservation works at the Church of Saint Vincent de Sousa, co-funded by the NORTE 2030 Regional Programme, as well as a meeting at the Interpretation Centre of the Romanesque in Lousada.
The event was attended, amongst others, by the president of CCDR NORTE, Álvaro Santos, and the vice-presidents Rui Costa and Pedro Machado, as well as the president of Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal (TPNP), Luís Pedro Martins; the mayor of Felgueiras, Nuno Fonseca; and the mayor of Lousada and president of VALSOUSA/Rota do Românico, Nelson Oliveira.
The Northern Routes are the result of an initiative by CCDR NORTE and TPNP aimed at jointly promoting a strategy for the organisation, management and promotion of regional tourist routes focusing on cultural heritage, contemporary art and architecture.
The Route of the Romanesque is the co-managing body of the Northern Romanesque route.
