Lurdes Pinto - Rota do Românico

Mrs. Lurdes, carer of the Church of Saint Isidore since the late 2000s, tells us how it all began: 'I came as a volunteer to help a gentleman who was here. He couldn't turn off the alarm and I started coming, but I thought I wasn't supposed to stay (...) as I liked it and nobody else came, I stayed.'
She says that she enjoys receiving visitors, who are mostly Portuguese, and that they appreciate the Church, '... they say it is very well looked after, they go home feeling happy ... the way we receive them is also very important'.
