Mrs. Marília has been the carer of the Church of Valadares since the early 1980s, and says she does it 'for pleasure!' She lives nearby and has always loved church work. With her husband's Manuel help, she makes flower arrangements to decorate the altars. She says that many people come to her Church of Valadares to deliver on their promises.
She welcomes tourists and makes sure that they really enjoy appreciating the Church, especially the paintings in the chancel.
