In the centre of Castelo de Paiva, the Largo do Conde garden is a must-see. There you'll find an imposing statue of Martinho de Bulhões (1848-1923), the 1st Count of Castelo de Paiva, by the sculptor António Teixeira Lopes (1866-1942).

The main Church of Sobrado, the Interpretation Centre of Local Culture, the Tourism Shop, the City Hall, and the Quinta do Pinheiro Urban Park are also worth a longer visit.

The Saint John Festivities, in June, and the Vinho Verde, Farmer, Gastronomy and Crafts Fair, in July, mark the town's festive calendar.
